DEPUTY PRINCIPAL PLANNING, ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE
Wote TTI is a public Technical Industrial Vocational Education and Training (TIVET) Institution under the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology (MOHEST).
The institute mandate is training-to prepare and produce competent and qualified persons for both the local and international labor market. This mandate is achieved through the maintenance of market/demand driven courses and the application of modern training equipment and innovative training strategies in order to optimize training resources.
The institute began in 1990 as a skill upgrading center for Jua Kali artisans. Later in 1997, the center was upgraded into a technical training institution and in 2010 it was shifted from the ministry of labor to MOHEST.
The government of Kenya (GOK) has since then invested fairly well in the infrastructural development and recurrent expenditure. This is in line with government’s effort to assemble the vision 2030 flagship projects.
The institution runs five departments offering both certificate and diploma courses.
