PREAMBLE
Wote TTI is a public Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institution under the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MOEST).
INSTITUTE MANDATE
The institute mandate is training-to prepare and produce competent and qualified persons for both the local and international labor market. This mandate is achieved through the maintenance of market/demand driven courses and the application of modern training equipment’s and innovative training strategies in order to optimize training resources.
The institute began in 1990 as a skill upgrading center for Jua Kali artisans. Later in 1997, the centre was upgraded into a technical training institution and in 2010 it was shifted from the ministry of labour to MOHEST and currently MOEST.
The government of Kenya (GOK) has since then invested fairly well in the infrastructural development and Education. E.g.;
- Food and Beverage
- Motor Vehicle Engineering
- Building and Civil Engineering
- Electrical/Electronics
- Information Communication Technology – ICT Laboratories
MODE OF STUDY
Whereas all other students take the modular programs which are one year long per module, accounting students have taken the semester programs whereby they begin in January through May and July through November each year.
